ACCELEROMETER (HIGH G 2- AXIS)

$160.00

The accelerometer is an electromechanical device that will measure acceleration forces. These forces may be static, like the constant force of gravity pulling at your feet, or dynamic – caused by moving or vibrating the accelerometer.

There are 2 accelerometer sensors, one recording accelerations to a maximum of 10g and one recording accelerations to a maximum of 50g. The lower range sensor can record in acceleration in one of 3 axis or the resultant force of the 3 axis. It will also measure vibration forces and angle. The higher range sensor is restricted to 2 axis and resultant forces of both axis. Both sensors will show the acceleration as multiples of g or as m/s2.

Ideal for measuring the forces in collisions between Data Harvest dynamics carts.

The sensor has two measurement axis, the x axis (along the length of the sensor) and the y axis (across the width of the sensor). A resultant range combines the readings of both axis to create a change of force sensor.

The high g sensor measures forces in the range of ±40g or 0 – 500ms-2 .
