“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

More Product Information
Please consider carefully which version of the SmartScope you will choose.
This TV version is easy to use, but does not offer some of the key benefits of the USB version. The USB version of the SmartScope can record still images, videos, or time-lapse videos to view a weeks worth of change in minutes. Most users tend to find the USB version to be a better fit given that the cost is similar and both can be projected for classroom viewing.
The SmartScope has 6 LED lights that are easily controlled with a dial on the SmartScope.
The SmartScope has greater magnification than many other digital microscopes for education. This can make all the difference when looking at pond water organisms or plant and animal cells. The SmartScope focuses in at 10x to 200x magnification.
The SmartScope is especially useful in classrooms with traditional microscopes. The ability to show students what they are looking for is very powerful.
