“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

More Product Information
Applications
Chemistry:
Colorimeter
Absorption of light
Biology:
Colorimeter experiments e.g. enzyme reactions
Yeast growth
Physics:
Inverse square law
Light reflection
Ranges:
Range 1: 0 to 1,000 Lux (resolution: 1 Lux)
Range 2: 0 to 110% Transmission
Smoothed linear response
This Sensor is suitable for general indoor use. It has a built in filter to smooth the flicker from fluorescent lights.
This is the sensor to use for colorimeter, rate of reaction and inverse square law experiments.
The photo diode is sensitive to light in the range from 350 nm to 700 nm. The sensor has built-in infrared rejection filter, giving it a spectral response similar to that of the human eye.
