“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

Temperature Sensor
Product Code: 3100
This general-purpose temperature probe is the most commonly used sensor in the range. It can accurately measure the temperature of air, water, soil and weak acidic solutions, making it indispensable in all Science Departments.
More Product Information
Activities
Physics: • Cooling rates • Absorption of energy • Conduction, convection and evaporation • Solar energy • Insulation investigations
Biology: • Animal behaviour • River and pond studies
Chemistry: • Endothermic and exothermic reactions • Freezing and melting of water • Energy content of foods • Change of state • Neutralisation reactions • Greenhouse effect • Fractional distillation • Vapour pressure of liquids
Environment: • Habitats • Pond and river studies
Ranges:
Celsius range: -30°C - 110°C (Resolution: 0.1°C)
Fahrenheit range: -22°F to 230°F (Resolution: 0.1°F)
This sensor has a particularly low thermal inertia. The thermistor is housed at the end of a 3 mm by 200 mm stainless steel tube which is resistant to weak acids.
Temperatures higher than 150ºC (302ºF) may damage the Sensor. The PVC insulation on the connecting cable has a working range of -10 to 85ºC (14 to 185ºF), so this cable should be kept away from the source of heat.
