“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

E.C.G. (Electrocardiogram)
Product Code: 3279
The ECG sensor measures the electrical energy generated during a heartbeat. To record the classic PQRST wave, the sensor's three electrodes can be attached to the skin of the user's forearms using disposable ECG patches.
Each sensor is supplied with a pack of 100 disposable ECG electrode patches. Fast data sampling is required when using the ECG sensor.
More Product Information
Applications
Comparing the ECG to the waveform produced by the Heart Rate Sensor
Comparing the ECG of a rested heart to an exercised heart
What happens to the ECG trace if a sensor lead location is changed
Understand the meaning and relationships of the PQRST waveforms
Investigate the effect of mild stimulants (caffeine)
As the average heartbeat cycle is typically 0.7 - 0.9 seconds, data needs to be collected with an SmartSense unit capable of fast logging
The ECG sensor has 3 sensor leads. The change in electrical energy is detected by two leads and referenced to a ground signal. The changes in energy are displayed as a waveform. As the electrical changes being detected are very small and prone to disturbance, it is vital that the test subject is relaxed, and motionless. Please note that this product is designed for demonstration of the ECG waveform, it is not designed or intended to be used for medical diagnosis.
