“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"The Smart scope is working great!! My kindergarteners LOVE it!" by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

Drop and Bubble Counter
Product Code: 3266
This sensor offers exceptional value as it performs a dual role. In Chemistry its primary role is as a drop counter measuring accurately the volume of titrant added during a titration. However, this sensor can be used to monitor bubbles produced during gas production from either a chemical reaction or a biological process.
When operating as a drop counter, titrant is uniformly dripped from the supplied reservoir and optically recorded. If desired, the drops can be automatically converted to a volume measurement by following a simple calibration procedure.
As a bubble counter, the sensor counts optically the number of bubbles, from either a chemical or biological source, ascending through the plastic tubing. This method is unique in that it accurately measures the range of gas production and is ideal for biological investigations.
More Product Information
Applications
Chemistry:
Acid-base Titrations with pH
Conductometric titrations with Conductivity sensor
Gas production - rates of reaction e.g. marble chips and acid.
Biology:
Fermentation
Yeast activity
Drop and Bubble Count range of 0 - 10,000 - this range counts the absolute number of drops or bubbles detected as they pass through the sensor's light beam.
Data is displayed as the total number of drops or bubbles.
Note: Small fine bubbles such as those produced by oxygenating pond weed are unlikely to be detected.
Calibrated Volume ranges are:
23 drops/cm3
25 drops/ cm3
26 drops/ cm3
27 drops/cm3
28 drops/ cm3
29 drops/ cm3
The drop count is automatically converted and displayed as volume from 0 - 120 cm3.
