“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

More Product Information
Applications
Physics:
Dynamics experiments that involve calculating time, speed, velocity, acceleration using an inclined plane or air track
Acceleration due to gravity
Pendulum investigations
Measuring the time period of an oscillating body
Impulse and change in momentum
Centripetal force in a pendulum
Response time: less than 5 microseconds
Width of gap: 56mm
The Photogate is mounted in a robust plastic housing, and the detachable clamping rod can be mounted in three different ways for easier positioning for different investigations.
