“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

Magnetic Field 100mT
Product Code: 3172
Explore the nature and strengths of magnetic fields of solenoids and permanent magnets with this robust sensor which houses two switchable Hall effect transducers to measure accurately both Radial and Axial magnetic fields.
Applications
Physics:
Magnetic field in a coil
Magnetic field in a Slinky Spring
Magnetic field of magnets
Magnetic field of a solenoid
General:
Mapping a magnetic field
Exploring electromagnets
More Product Information
Radial and Axial Magnetic Field: ±100 mT (Resolution: 0.1 mT).
There are two Hall Effect devices in this sensor, placed at right angles to each other. This enables fields along the axis of the Magnetic Field Sensor (the axial field) or at right angles (the radial field) to be measured.
Product Item Contents
Magnetic Field - 2 ranges
• ±100 mT radial
• ±100 mT axial
(Resolution 0.1 mT)
NOTE: A Sensor Cable is required to connect this sensor to the ONE Link, SOLUS, or VISION datalogger.
