Testimonials

  • “It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my favorite … tool is the SmartScope!”

  • "The lighting is good, and the magnification is excellent. The picture is very clear on my computer screen."
    by  Leanne -- New Hampshire
  • "The smartscope is AMAZING. I love using it on the computer to really analzye objects/specimens, and my students really enjoy seeing the images magnified. Thank you."

  • "The Smart scope is working great!! My kindergarteners LOVE it!"
    by  Karen -- Ohio
  • "I apologize..... :) I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.." I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist

Current - 10A
Product Code: 3167

Current - 10A

Currents sensors measure both AC and DC, and with differential inputs these sensors can be used anywhere within a circuit and in conjunction with a voltage sensor.

More Product Information

Applications

Physics:

  • Serial and parallel circuits
  • Ohm's Law. Resistance in a circuit
  • Electrical induction
  • Battery life
  • Capacitor Discharge and Recharge
  • Current surge
  • Solar cells
  • Electrical component characteristics
  • Voltage and Current relationships.

Chemistry:

  • Electrolysis
  • Current ± 10A
  • Resolution: 10mA
  • Maximum Voltage ±27V
  • Resistance/Impedance: ORO18 (0.018 Ohms)

The Current sensor should be placed in series with the circuit component through which the current is measured. Currents in either direction can be measured. The Current sensors have a very low resistance so that they introduce as little resistance as possible to the circuit.

CAUTION: NEVER connect a Current sensor directly across a battery or power supply, without a resistance component to limit the current to within the range of the sensor. Failure to limit the current will cause permanent damage to the sensor.

SAFETY: NEVER use high voltages or household AC.
