“It takes photographs, video clips, time lapse, operates as a webcam, and has a measurement
feature. It is so easy to use that my four-year-olds mastered it in one day! It is durable, and the price is right. I leave it out and the students are able to use it independently. I have other technological tools, such as iPads, [a] projector, [an iPod] Nano, flip cameras, and digital cameras—but my
favorite … tool is the SmartScope!” by

"I apologize..... :)
I totally doubted these microscopes when I got the email and thought "whatever! They're going to sit in the closet like the other ones because they'll be too hard to use.."
I was totally wrong....they ARE super EASY! :)" -- Library Media Specialist by

Current - 1A
Product Code: 3165
Currents sensors measure both AC and DC, and with differential inputs these sensors can be used anywhere within a circuit and in conjunction with a voltage sensor.
More Product Information
Applications
Physics:
Serial and parallel circuits
Ohm's Law. Resistance in a circuit
Electrical induction
Battery life
Capacitor Discharge and Recharge
Current surge
Solar cells
Electrical component characteristics
Voltage and Current relationships.
Chemistry:
Electrolysis
Current ±1A
Resolution: 0.5mA
Maximum Voltage ±27V
Resistance/Impedance: OR18 (0.18 Ohms)
The Current sensor should be placed in series with the circuit component through which the current is measured. Currents in either direction can be measured. The Current sensors have a very low resistance so that they introduce as little resistance as possible to the circuit.
CAUTION: NEVER connect a Current sensor directly across a battery or power supply, without a resistance component to limit the current to within the range of the sensor. Failure to limit the current will cause permanent damage to the sensor.
SAFETY: NEVER use high voltages or household AC.
